OOC Preferences

Backtagging: Forever, so long as there is mutual interest and steady pace.
Threadhopping: Yes, but PM all the players involved first to check with them.
Breaking the 4th Wall: Only if the thread already permits it.
Dropping Threads: Only if the players really clash or there are many long breaks.
Offensive Subjects: None. Just keep it tactful. PM if there’s an issue.

Brackets or Prose: Comfortable with both and will match whichever’s preferred.
Tense: Comfortable with both. I default prose to past ("he said, he did") and brackets to present ("he says, he does").

Meme Continuity: Sure, if it’s wanted. PM if anything gets forgotten.
Spoilers: Drop them as you will. I don’t use "spoilers" in headers since we’re all on the Internet.
Gagtags: Sure, as well as silly threads and ooc crack.

AUs: Yes. Good with setting both characters in a different AU or incorporating either into the other’s canon-verse.
Cross-Canon: Yes. I love cross-canon as much as canon. Feel free to hit me up with anyone from anywhere.
Cross-Media: Yes. Anime/manga, video games, comics, literature, films (animated/live-action), tv-series (animated/live-action), western animation, real life, have at it.
OCs: Maybe. It’s fine so long as I don’t know who the PB is. If I do, probably not, because then it gets weird.
Fandom AUs and OCs: Yes. Fandom AUs are welcome. Fandom OCs fall under the same comment as above.

Violence / Fighting: Bring it on! Try to keep violence threads at a give-and-take level unless a curbstomp is agreed on beforehand. Winner and loser can be decided via PM, OOC comments in threads, or developed naturally.
Physical Affection: Sure! Hugs, arm around shoulders, friendly kisses to the cheek or forehead, those kinds are all good. Just note the current IC relationships when going for it and the probable reactions physical affection might bring.
Smut: Hell yes~ From making love to having sex to fucking to dubious consent to nonconsensual rape. PWPs are as welcome as developing CR during sex. I never fade to black or gloss over sex unless this is asked for beforehand.
Kinks: Player k-list is here. Muse kinks are interpreted via their characters / the setting, but player kinks take precedence. Some "no" items are negotiable. PM with questions.

Shipping Preferences:
I enjoy developing ships through CR buildup, so I don’t force ships "because it's canon" or other similar rationale. I’m definitely not against canon ships though! For me, shipping is more about how the characters get along and how well the players mesh. Understood-CR for memes is a normal exception, so we can plot the relationship out before starting the thread. Both amiable and antagonistic ships are good to go as well; things can happen between friends as well as rivals and enemies.

Threading CR buildup can be gen or smut or a mix, since sex (lovesex—casualsex—hatesex) can obviously happen without a ship. There still should be some chemistry between the characters for a ship to set sail. I’m also good with one-sided ships where your character develops a crush (or obsession) on mine, or vice versa, but keep in mind any IC ramifications if we embark on that kind of route.

I ship M/M with my characters. My ships run from canon to crosscanon to crossmedia, and my fleet looks like this. I’ll generally ship my characters with anyone and anything. Ships can run platonic to romantic to sexual, though some ships, such as one with rivals or enemies, will require more effort (or more background plotting) to establish than others. Still, I’m willing to at least try shipping with any guy interested.

Regarding M/F ships, please note, outside of sexual ships, I enjoy M/F relationships and welcome threading it. From allies to friends to rivals to enemies, I like exploring platonic friendships and even romantic dating in these ships. I’ll also make rare exceptions for F/M sex if it comes to pegging, either with toys or naturally, but this is very character specific. PM me if you have questions about a potential M/F ship.

IC Preferences

Touching – YES – Dabi’s not really one for people up and touching him unless he knows them. Lack of trust and respect issues. He likes to keep his personal space between himself and others and tends to hang near the periphery or back of an engagement. But once he does grow comfortable around his companions, he doesn’t react badly to them grabbing him or touching him. More of a mildly-exasperated tolerance, despite all his burn scars. Closer CR can get away with putting a hand on his shoulder or tagging him with a high five or fist bump. That said, if he doesn’t want you touching him, he’ll let you know with a warning, and after that, you’ll get burned.

Hugging – YES – Like before, Dabi needs some trust between himself and another to let them embrace him. Embracing is usually done for emotional support and he doesn’t really feel that anymore. It’s a vulnerable position and he avoids vulnerability. Trying to embrace him will get a sidestep to avoid it or a push away with a warning, or a burn post-warning. Still, if he’s in the mood, closer CR can drop an arm over his shoulder or “safely” grab him in a hug. First one will likely be tolerated or accepted; second one will definitely surprise him because he’s not used to it. He really needs a fucking hug, and somewhere buried deep down away, he knows it.

Kissing – YES – Not out of the blue. Ignoring the reality that Dabi doesn’t think someone would want to kiss him, it’s a gross invasion of his privacy and he will respond with his flames. Unless he’s actually in some kind of “relationship” with someone, whether this is purely physical or something deeper, Dabi’s not about to kiss someone or let someone kiss him. That said, if he is in this kind of fling, he’s fine with someone kissing him and will return it without much issue. Just try not to overdo it and make yourself obnoxious. Same can be said about touching and hugging; when he’s in a relationship, these are fine unless he’s in a foul mood.

Flirting – YES – Dabi can certainly play the flirt like a blue devil if he wants to. But due to his sarcasm and rude attitude, he can shut down a flirt pretty harshly if he doesn’t feel like playing that game. Sometimes his flirting can come across as threats or more adult-themed implications because he simply does not care, so don’t expect sweet nothings to come out of his mouth. He’s very hard to fluster outside of some intense confessions that’ll confuse or put him on edge, but if you do manage it, he’ll likely dismiss the entire thing and go silent to address his discomfort rather than continue.

Sex – YES – Sex means nothing to Dabi. It’s an action and it happens; people use it for physical pleasure and to dominate or hurt others. He’s experienced both and has little desire or expectation for sex to reach anything near the emotional side of things that some people associate it with. He’s casual and crass about sex and is willing to shack up with complete strangers if it’ll serve his interests. Still, these interests only encompass sex in few and far between instances, so don’t think he’s going to up and do it with just anyone over anything. Sex is a way to blow off steam and a bargaining chip. Should go without saying that Dabi “fucks” during sex, so there’s none of that sensual “love making” crap in bed. He knows people want his body, but he’s under no illusion about people finding him attractive.

Fighting – YES – Dabi is a long-range fighter and relies on his powerful Quirk and surprise attacks to handle his battles. He’s not very good at close-range fights and his physical stamina in battle isn’t the greatest, so he’ll do his best to stay out of martial artistry on the offense and simply torch his opponent to cinders. Despite his laid-back attitude, Dabi is a fairly violence-prone person and has no trouble resorting to it when he feels like it. He'll burn someone for looking at him wrong if he wants to, though in general, he keeps violence as a last resort or if there’s no reason to continue whatever altercation he’s handling through non-violent means. Taunting him or daring him to fight won’t do much as he simply doesn’t give a shit if there’s no point. That said, if you do find yourself in a fight with him, check out his abilities to get an idea of what you’re up against. He’s pretty dangerous.

Injuring – YES – Thanks to his history and his Quirk, Dabi’s no stranger to injury. Covered in burn scars and piercings, he deals with constant pain all the time, to the point of having a high tolerance for it under normal circumstances. Smaller injuries like scrapes, burns, bruises, cuts, and strains aren’t going to slow him down much. But intense wounds like broken bones, torn muscles, lacerations and impalements, sensory damages, and other traumatic injuries are going to impair him. He’s only human. Permanent injuries, like amputation and scarring, require a PM to discuss.

Killing – MAYBE – Dabi’s killed over thirty innocent people in his life and even notched a few heroes and villains on his proverbial belt. He sees the world through a different lens than heroes and most normal people and thus will kill for a multitude of reasons. Survival, threats, cleansing, battle, boredom, he’s not afraid to do it and has seen plenty of it in his life. If it means accomplishing his most fervent ambitions, he’s fully prepared to kill himself, showing an ultimate suicidal trait towards his revenge. That said, until he can accomplish his revenge, he has every intention of NOT dying, so will stubbornly cling to life as much as he can, whether that means retreating, killing, or even making deals. Mind Reading – YES – There have been some mind-related Quirks in his series, so it’s not impossible for Dabi to experience this. So far, he hasn’t yet. That said, if you want to dive into his head, note it’s not pleasant in there. There are a lot of troubling memories and disturbing images, ranging from his abusive childhood to his villainous activities to his ultimate goals. None of them are pretty. Note: if he finds out you’re snooping around in his head, don’t expect to get away alive. He will attempt to kill you. He’s also smart enough to realize someone’s messing with his head just from knowing his own thoughts well enough.

Non-Human Beings – YES – There are a lot of people in his home series who don’t look human, from minor extra to outright inhuman appearances, so it more depends on CR when it comes to Dabi’s interactions. He’ll still be surprised if someone inhuman looking suddenly appears. While he might comment on their appearance, since Dabi’s fucking rude, he’s not really going to sit there and continually insult someone over their appearance or what they are. If he finds some common ground, a good use, or some other kind of bond between himself and said person, he’ll lump their appearance in with their character and treat them like he treats everyone else. When it comes to intimacy, he’s as receptive to sleeping with non-human beings as he is with humans and humanoids, if they reach that level of a relationship. As far as the intellect argument goes—sapient (human) vs sentient (animal)—we’ll cross that bridge if/when it’s ever come to.

Warnings – YES – Dabi's character can be difficult to deal with, considering his villainous behavior and actions and his ideas about heroes and society. He’s rude, manipulative, callous, and isn’t afraid to insult someone. Between smoking, drinking, drugs, sleeping around, and vulgar language, he’s got plenty of vices going for him. His history is also very triggering for some people, as it involves a massive amount of domestic abuse and child abuse, as well as death, suicide, injuries, and other traumas. As an adult, Dabi’s scarring, piercings, insanity, rage, murderous career, and twisted desires for revenge are likewise understandable but hard to handle, and they will come up in discussions when the situation turns towards it.
