The mention of his eyes has Hawks reaching up, rubbing at them with the back of his sleeve. "Yeah," he replies as he drops his hand back to his side, "sometimes they want to test my eyesight and it starts to hurt after a while." With eyesight as sharp as his, it doesn't take much to cross the line from uncomfortable to painful. It's not something he enjoys having to do, but he just reminds himself that it could be worse. And that he's doing this for his mom.

He nearly comments about the discomfort of his wings, how the blanket might just add to it. But he catches himself and says instead, "but we can do that, if you want. I don't mind." It's okay, as long as Dabi feels better, he thinks.
