[Which is all he sees it as. He tunes all of it out to focus most of the time, but Dabi's not wrong. He does know of a few cases of a handful of bad actors, but it isn't his place to shine light on that darkness. Not when he has darkness of his own. Well, maybe not so much now that Dabi dragged it all out into the open.]
So I don't really know for sure, but if you're serious about it, I can give you some leads to follow up on.
[If they're bad enough to warrant investigation, then hopefully it will bring something concrete to light. Enji's concern is less about secrets being spilled, and more on what it would do to the image of heroes. Not personally, he doesn't give a shit about that, but in general. People losing faith in heroes means that society would take another turn where the wicked would outshine the just. He's unsure about this particular path Dabi wants to explore, but he'll at least give him what he knows or more accurately, what he can find out. Dabi would have to figure it out from there.
Enji isn't sure why entertaining the idea of switching sides makes him feel so guilty. He doesn't have allegiance to anyone, and most of his fans only got there via All Might stepping down, or people who don't care who the number one hero is, just that they do their job in keeping the streets safe. Enji has made a name for himself doing that, but also being a main reason for the existence of the villain Dabi. Would anyone even be surprised if he did? Hawks would be disappointed, but everyone who ever thought he wasn't hero material would be validated. ]
I'm not so easily understood, either, it seems. But I want to understand you now, maybe we can figure each other out somehow.
[Enji also won't say anything bad about Natsuo. That's a no-go. Part of him gets a little upset every time Dabi asks about someone else. He understands that he can't just go ask them himself, but does Enji bore him so much that he's only wanting to know his standing with the others. Just as he has that thought, Dabi is trying to step inside the shower with him.
Before he can think to ask him what the hell he's doing, he figures it out.]
I meant you could have warmed the air out there. [He mumbles in forced irritation, but there's clearly gratitude there because he steps a little bit closer to soak up a little bit of the heat from his flames. They just burned much hotter than his own by default. Enji doesn't want to sit down, though, but he keeps his eyes on Dabi as the awkwardness of the situation hits him and his face flushes. At least he can blame that on the sudden change in temperature.
He uses soapy hands to wash himself, turning away when he has to pretend to have some shame for his son's comfort. He's worked hard with training and so his body is in good shape, and he's not ashamed of it. But that doesn't mean that Dabi wants to watch him wash his dick. Enji goes through the washing process pretty fast, he's rushing because Dabi's there with him.
Only once he's done does he finally cave, sitting down under the now warm water to rinse off.]
Your clothes are getting wet. [Well, just his pants. Enji reaches out to undo the front of Dabi's jeans. They'd have to trade off eventually, or maybe not. It isn't like cold water bothers his son. Enji is the only one really enjoying the instant sauna effects of Dabi's flames.]
