oh right. cause tomura held his damn phone for ransom and after a bunch of back and forth, somehow wrangled dabi into agreeing to go on this weird voucher date thing for a video game promotion. or something like that. he hadn't exactly paid rapt attention to it. what dabi's main two points to focus on were "food" and "public". food is good, especially when it's free and good. like restaurant quality. public is something he doesn't give a shit about, but still not something he wanders about in open-faced and arms spread.
so if tomura thinks he's going to get them both into a restaurant without having the cops and any nearby heroes jumping down their throats a second after they checked in (do they check in? dabi has no clue how this works), then color him curious. wary and mildly alarmed, but curious.
he said noon and gave him the location, so that's where the villain ends up, standing in the mouth of an alleyway not far from the restaurant, melted in with the shadows slanted over him, the falling snowflakes not lasting more than a split second on the shoulders of his coat and black spikes of his hair.]
