[funny how one small detail can make something a lot better. he hadn't been sad at all upon learning that ending had almost killed natsuo during his rampage, only amused at the notion and disappointed he hadn't gotten to crush endeavor more with it. but at the same time, he'd be lying if he hadn't felt some spark of hatred for the other villain for touching his little brother. hadn't been part of the deal, but whatever. natsuo was safe and he didn't have to worry about it. admittedly, it was strange to actually talk with him again. after so many years...
doesn't know why the other guy wants to keep in touch with him, comment on his criminal activities, but when the opportunity for secret rendezvous between him and his little brother came along, that wasn't so easy to turn down. sure, there's always the chance it's some kind of trap, but considering what natsuo had gone through, touya doubts he has the guts to go through with such a thing. it'd mean his death. also... when he's over here offering to steal endeavor's painkillers to give to his villainous older brother, fuck- there's so much irony in that one little action, he didn't want to turn the offer down.
motel chikai isn't your average back-alley, litter-ridden, window-boarded motel you'd expect from a villain hole up. the place is decent and nice, illuminated with pale yellow lights under a sea-blue roof and off white stone walls. it's nondescript and doesn't stand out at all. not a place you'd expect one of japan's most notorious to book a room and flop down on the bed. but that's what made it a nice place to go to. the proprietor's seen plenty of shit in her day and doesn't bother asking any questions. just give the money, she gives the keys, and that's all she knows. dabi's paid for the room.
